Absolutely love the idea of a theme, my theme last year was #KnowYourWorth, other than #GetMoreClients, I’m not sure what my theme is this year. Will give it a think. Funny story about a year I decided that my new year’s resolution was to NOT go to the gym. It was the year I lost 10kg in 6 months. lol. I should make that this year’s one.
Oh, and thank you both for introducing me to Morning Pages. I started doing it today using Day One app, I like being able to jump from topic to topic and felt great after. Like you, Kate I’m a fast touch-typist. I love being able to close my eyes and type away…getting it all out of my head. Although, I’m a huge, huge, huge fan of pen and paper when I have write copy. Great episode…love you two! ?❤️
Ah thanks so much Tara – I was worried this ep was a bit of a fail, as we kind of spent most of the episode talking about how we don’t set goals! The morning pages are great. I must get back into them. Thanks for listening and I hope you’ve had a great start to 2017.
Oh I love Know Your Worth… that’s a corker!
And woot for Morning Pages. Doesn’t matter how you do it, right?
This morning I dictated it. It was actually slower but still good to be able to express myself. ?
Oh, interesting! I’m keen to hear how that experience differs (in terms on decluttering your brain) from writing or typing.
I suspect I’d start thinking productively and less stream of conscious stuff… or start day dreaming and stop talking! Probably the latter now I think about it 😉
Dictating it wasn’t as slow as handwriting but I was sooooo tired and fingers were aching. I wanted to “write” before I started the day. So I woke up and started dictating. I use an app called Drafts and it’s quite accurate.
Tomorrow I will definitely type. My preferred method!
