Just found this podcast & have binge listened! Great episode: a bunch of my favourites, and a few new ones to check out, like last pass.
The other tools/apps I like are:
Harvest Timekeeper: super-easy timetracker which lets you record time via a stop-watch type interface across different projects and tasks. Also has great reporting. I do most of my work on a project base, so I use this more for tracking how long I’m actually spending doing stuff. http://www.getharvest.com/
ScheduleOnce: Let’s people book meetings/phone calls straight into my calendar via an online interface. Saves all that awkward ‘Tuesday isn’t great for me, how’s next week for you?’ nonsense. A bit overpriced, but unlike other scheduling apps I’ve tried, my clients actually use it: http://www.scheduleonce.com/
Unroll me: Through some witchcraft, this figures out what emails you’re subscribed to, and presents them with the option to a) include in a daily digest b) unsubscribe c) keep in my inbox. Keeps my email free of spam and stuff that I maybe want to stay connected to but not have in my face. https://unroll.me/
Momentum plugin: Works in Safari and Chrome (and maybe others). When you open a new browser window, it displays a purdy picture, with simple text (entered by you that morning) on what your focus is for that day. Helps me when I’m in a Facebook idling mood: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/momentum/laookkfknpbbblfpciffpaejjkokdgca?hl=en
Cheers guys!
Great additions Matthew and thanks for your kind words! We love bingers!!
Did you catch any of the out takes at the end? They never stop being funny (to us).
I love the idea of ScheduleOnce. I’ve been looking for something like that so thank you!!
I also love the idea of UnrollMe so I’ll be giving that a go.
In fact I might post all of these in our FB and G+ communities. Is that okay with you?

Totes. Go for it!
I also use Toggl to keep track of the time I spend working on various projects.
Love us some Toggl. Thanks Bill!
We use proofhub for our projects and I think it should also be there in your list. It has all the features that can help you to manage your projects easily and effectively.
Thanks for the suggestion Hanna. We haven’t used that one before.
I think you must give it a try.
Hi! Am a new (bingeing on all the old episodes) listener. This episode is having a glitch in both iTunes and Libsyn; seems like the file is missing?
Hi Amanda, Thanks for the headsup!! I’ve just fixed the file on the website and iTunes should be updated within an hour or so. Thanks again. I hope you enjoy the episode! – Belinda
A few days ago, I discovered Byword for Mac and iOS. It’s a distraction-free writing app that supports Markdown, and I’m using it to draft my blog posts: https://bywordapp.com/
Great addition thanks john
I’m late to this party, but https://www.powerthesaurus.org/ is a great source for me when a word fails to show up on time. It’s interactive too if that’s your thing. Try it!
Thanks for that Michael, we’ll add it to our lists.
We love a late-comer! Thanks for the suggestion Michael 😀 — Belinda
